I update the drivers of course and the card is plugged in correctly as far as I can tell. I tried every fix I could find but I can't restore the picture to the main account.Įventually I gave up and decided to try the gpu on the secondary account and performance was terrible, completely unplayable with the same settings I was using on my previous, much weaker gpu.

I have 2 accounts on my PC so after trying a ton of stuff I decided to change users and the other account works just fine. The mouse cursor is visible and I can get the task manager to appear but everything else isn't visible, even in safe mode. Windows was booting just fine but the moment the desktop is supposed to appear all I get is a black screen.
Yeserday I managed to get a very good deal on a used GTX980 and put it into my PC. So, I mentioned last week how my gpu went kaput.
